InVision Biomedical is a leading ophthalmic intraocular research and technology center in Orange County. Principals of the firm, F. Richard Christ and Marie Dvorak Christ, Ph.D., head the scientific team.
Through its extensive scientific and medical expertise, InVision Biomedical offers product research, development and consulting services, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) testing, ophthalmic product design and manufacture, breakthrough chemical analysis and laboratory testing solutions.
Richard Christ has more than 25 years experience in ophthalmic device R&D including 13 years as Director of Research at Allergan Medical Optics (now Abbott Medical Optics, Santa Ana, CA) and more than 10 years as an independent consultant. Mr. Christ is the inventor on more than 35 US and foreign patents.
Dr. Marie Christ has more than 10 years in the ophthalmic devices field, including the invention of Intraocular lens materials, coatings for intraocular lenses and other implantable devices. She has also developed a synthesis process of polymer additives for ultraviolet and blue light blocking characteristics. As consultants, the Christ’s played significant roles in the development of two start-up ophthalmic implant technologies recently purchased by two industry giants.
